Pengaruh Pembukaan Rute Penerbangan Batam-Korea Selatan oleh Jeju Air Terhadap Perkembangan Pariwisata Batam

Sektor pariwisata Batam menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara akibat konektivitas udara internasional yang terbatas. Pembukaan rute penerbangan langsung Batam-Korea Selatan oleh Jeju Airpada Oktober 2024 membuka peluang baru untuk meningkatkan arus wisatawan Korea Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pembukaan rute tersebut terhadap perkembangan pariwisata Batam, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan, mendorong sektor MICE, dan memperkuat konektivitas udara. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-analitis dengan wawancara, studi dokumen, dan analisis data sekunder. Kerangka teori Complex Interdependence digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan saling ketergantungan Indonesia-Korea Selatan dalam sektor pariwisata dan transportasi udara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembukaan rute Batam-Korea Selatan berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan jumlah wisatawan Korea Selatan, penguatan aktivitas pariwisata MICE, serta peningkatan posisi Batam sebagai destinasi pariwisata regional. Konektivitas udara terbukti berperan sebagai instrumen strategis dalam mendorong pembangunan pariwisata dan memperkuat kerja sama bilateral Indonesia-Korea Selatan.
