Abstrak

The Discovery Learning model is a learning model that places the role of students and develops students' ways of thinking to actively learn to find and investigate their own learning concepts, so that the application of the discovery learning model can improve individual discovery abilities in addition to making learning conditions that were initially passive become more active and creative. The method used in this research is Literature Review. Literature review is an activity of searching for various sources of information in the form of journals, books, newspapers, magazines and other sources that contain a foundation to strengthen a theoretical study. The purpose of using references in the form of books, journals and articles is to prove the authenticity of the data sources taken is relevant data. The purpose of this writing is to provide new ideas and information based on the results of previous research to readers. In compiling a literature review, there are 5 stages that must be followed. The first is to find appropriate literature sources. Second, conduct a literature review. Third is to determine the topic and identify the difference between actual conditions and theory. The fourth is to create subsections that generally include chronological, thematic and methodological. The last stage or the fifth stage is to compile the literature review. From the 8 articles that have been reviewed, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning Model has an effect in improving the science learning outcomes of elementary school students.
