Abstrak

Development broadly refers to the overall process of change in an individual's potential and appearing in new qualities of ability, nature and characteristics. The term development also includes the concept of age, which begins from the moment of conception and ends at death." Development is not limited to the meaning of gradual growth, but also includes a series of continuous and permanent changes in the physical and mental functioning of an individual to development. through growth, maturation and learning. For this reason, in understanding the characteristics of students, an educator needs scientific disciplines such as Learning Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Personality Psychology, and perhaps even sciences related to communication disciplines. In understanding this, it is necessary to take a directive and non-directive approach and provide guidance and solutions for students.
