Desain Kompetensi dan Tujuan Pembelajaran: Studi Kasus Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka

Education is the main foundation in creating a quality generation that is able to compete in the midst of increasingly rapid global developments. One of the main focuses in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum is the design of competencies and learning objectives. Competency is defined as the ability that students must possess in the form of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. This research aims to determine teachers' understanding of competency design and learning objectives in the Independent Curriculum and to identify the implementation of competency design and learning objectives carried out by teachers in the learning process in the classroom. This research method is qualitative descriptive research. The results of the study show that teachers' understanding of competency design and learning objectives in the Independent Curriculum is very important for the successful implementation of the curriculum. Teachers who understand learning design can design learning that is contextual, relevant, and tailored to students' needs. However, challenges such as training and resource limitations often hinder optimal implementation. For this reason, the development of pedagogic competence and flexibility in the application of learning methods is very necessary so that learning goals can be achieved effectively.
