Abstrak

Since long time ago until now, there are still many individuals who doubt the effectiveness of dhikr and prayer. Moreover, in this era, many argue that dhikr and prayer are just a waste of time, that time should be better spent on earning a living. However, all of these assumptions are not true. As creatures created by Allah, we must be able to find a balance between work and worship activities because both complement each other. The purpose of prayer and dhikr is so that we always remember the greatness of Allah the Creator, because as humans, we can only plan, while Allah determines everything. Every form of worship such as prayer, fasting, zakat, and hajj are actually included in the category of dhikr and prayer because they contain mentions of Allah which aim for us to always remember Him. Anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling that arises as a reaction to various emotions when someone faces emotional pressure and inner conflict. In the Quran, there are many verses related to the psychological aspects of humans which in theory can be used as a basis for psychotherapy in overcoming anxiety.
