Abstrak

This research aims to find out the steps to building children's personalities through tāḥfīẓ learning activities at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Gunungkidul Yogyakarta in order to identify how effective tāḥfīẓ learning activities are in building children's personalities. This research uses a mixed method to determine the level of effectiveness of tahfidz activities in building children's personalities at the Nurul Qur'an Islamic boarding school using a Likert scale assessment with data triangulation analysis techniques. Based on the research results, it shows that tāḥfīẓ learning activities for building children's personalities are carried out in three stages. Specifically, the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The results of the effectiveness of tāḥfīẓ activities in building children's personalities are quite effective in terms of being independent in thinking and acting, able to establish healthy relationships with others, able to see oneself and others as they really are, and able to accept and carry out the responsibilities entrusted to them. Meanwhile, tāḥfīẓ activities were found to be less effective in controlling emotions.
