Abstrak

Application of big book media improve the Indonesian language reading skills of grade 1 students at MI Raudhatush shalihin kotabumi lampung.In this research, The method used is a classroom action research method carried out collaboratively.This research aims to evaluate the application of big book media in improving reading skills in grade 1 student at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI).Big book media was chosen because of its ability to present ,text,large,colorful pictures,and interesting interactions for children and to improve students reading skills. This research was conducted on grade 1 students at MI Raudhatush shalihin kotabumi lampung totaling fourteen students consisting of male five male students and nine female student.The results of the research show that children in grsde 1 MI who received learning using big book media experienced progress in their reading skills. This media helps improve word understanding,letter recognition,and children’s interest in reading. These skills support the use of big book media as an effective tool in improving MI grade 1 children’s reading skils
