Abstrak

This study aims to determine the type of organizational culture with the implementation of the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) type at the current Meuligoe Bireuen Hotel and the role of the shrinking type of organizational culture resulting in decreased employee performance. Researcher focus 1) how the current type of organizational culture. 2) The role of the shrinking type of organizational culture resulting in decreased employee performance. This research uses qualitative methods. There are 5 informants in this research, namely 1 manager and 4 hotel staff employees. The data analysis technique used in this study uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been reviewed, the researcher concludes that the type of organizational culture at Meuligoe Bireuen Hotel is in the Hirearchy culture type where formal rules and prioritized authority have not been applied optimally in the work environment at Meuligoe Hotel, the Market culture type at Meuligoe Hotel is not applied to achieve success by emphasizing how ambition must be carried out by employees in competing to produce a success and a plus for individual employees, Clan culture which emphasizes a sense of togetherness and kinship in the work environment has been applied by the leadership of Meuligoe Hotel and employees have also applied this culture in working can be seen many employees work together at work even though tasks are different but responsibilities are still assigned to each employee and maintain a sense of kinship in the work environment, Adhocracy culture which can be seen from the leader does not emphasize its employees to commit to providing innovation for the company and every employee also dares to face all the risks that occur. The role of the type of organizational culture shrinks so that it experiences a decrease in employee performance due to the lack of good and correct performance evaluation carried out by superiors to employees so that it is sustainable with all the regulations that have been enforced.
