This study aims to describe the personality competencies of mathematics teachers and their role in building positive relationships with students at SMA Negeri 2 Tambang and MTs Dinniyah Putri. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation. The results show that personality indicators such as discipline, patience, empathy, effective communication, and good classroom management play a vital role in creating a harmonious learning atmosphere and supporting student engagement. Teachers who can manage emotions, are open to correction, and flexible in teaching strategies are proven to increase students’ interest and motivation in learning mathematics. Collaboration among teachers and involvement in school decision-making also strengthen professionalism and the quality of interactions in the educational environment. These findings emphasize the importance of developing mathematics teachers’ personality competencies to create a supportive and effective learning environment, with positive implications for improving educational quality.
