Kurangnya Kesantunan Berbahasa di Media Sosial: Tren atau Ancaman?

This research aims to find out whether the low level of politeness in speaking on social media is a trend or a threat. The descriptive method was used with a questionnaire as a data collection technique. The research results show that the majority of respondents are aware of the importance of language politeness and feel that a lack of politeness is a threat that disrupts comfort. Therefore, it can be concluded that disrespectful behavior on social media is not just a trend but has the potential to become a serious threat.
