Perbandingan Karakteristik Pendidikan yang Ada di Jepang dan Indonesia

The education system in Indonesia is known to occupy a position that is very far behind compared to other developed countries such as Japan. Therefore, this article aims to compare the characteristics of education in Japan with those in Indonesia. This research method is descriptive qualitative research using the library research method. Research data comes from secondary data, both journals and books as library sources. The findings show that in the comparison of educational characteristics there are similarities and differences between Japan and Indonesia in terms of the education system, educational goals, education levels, curriculum and budget. Japan implements an education system that is known to be superior by emphasizing various aspects, not just cognitive. Education in Japan also has characteristics that are truly capable of supporting the realization of intelligent and quality human resources in terms of knowledge, morals, discipline, and others. It is hoped that this comparative education study will enable Indonesia to learn and adopt the advantages of the education system in Japan
