Abstract

Learning evaluation plays an important role in assessing the achievement of objectives and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process, especially in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to describe in detail the evaluation of Civic Education (PKn) learning in Grade II at SDN 2 Sananwetan, Blitar City. The research methods used were direct observation and in-depth interviews with the class teacher. From these processes, it was found that the teacher conducted formative and summative evaluations covering affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects. The evaluation methods used by the teacher included exercises, question-and-answer sessions, attitude observation, and group work assessment. Remedial activities were also conducted by the teacher based on contextual activities for students who had not achieved the expected learning outcomes. In the implementation, some challenges arose, such as limited time and variations in students' abilities, but the teacher was able to adjust the evaluation strategies according to the principles of differentiation. From these findings, it can be concluded that evaluation in the Merdeka Curriculum requires flexibility, authenticity, and adaptation to the characteristics of students.
