Abstract

This study aims to implement Civics learning using the Snakes and Ladders board game to improve understanding and awareness of norms in fifth-grade elementary school students. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of the board game creates an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, thereby increasing students' motivation, participation, and understanding of the concepts of religious, social, and politeness norms. In addition, students also demonstrate positive behaviors such as politeness, cooperation, and discipline after learning. Thus, the use of the Snakes and Ladders board game is effective in fostering understanding and awareness of norms while also shaping the character of students in elementary school.
